Florida Medical Cannabis Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and compassionate Office Assistant to join our team. We are one of Florida’s premier medical cannabis practices with a strong commitment to personalized and quality patient care. Our patients are our number one priority and we are looking for someone who is as devoted to changing lives through medical cannabis as we are. 

Our clinic locations are in Spring Hill and Land O Lakes. This position is primarily Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in rotating offices between the hours of 9:45AM - 6:00PM. 20-25hours per week, $11-12/hr depending on experience. 

Position Requirements: 

  • HS diploma & 1 year experience in a medical office (preferred) 

  • Knowledge of Florida Medical Cannabis policy or related experience (preferred)

  • Punctual and reliable attendance

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills

  • Patient-focused, friendly, upbeat personality with an ability to remain professional in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment 

  • In office Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays with the flexibility to stay late or work an occasional Saturday if needed. Must be available for 1-2 meetings per month on Mondays or Wednesdays. 

  • Good understanding of HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality

  • Proficient with Google Docs/Sheets or other word processing and spreadsheet software

  • EMR and data entry experience (preferred) 

  • References required 


  • Greets patients as they enter the practice

  • Provides exceptional customer service -  assisting patients with State Applications and answering program and office policy related questions 

  • Helps maintain office flow by communicating with management and patient care staff, keeping materials stocked, and directing patients 

  • Organizes desk space and maintains waiting room throughout the day

  • Maintains patient database by entering new patients, updating changes in information, scheduling appointments, and other miscellaneous documentation 

  • Manages fax and incoming mail 

  • Answer phones as needed 

  • Other administrative tasks as assigned
